Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris will be joined by former Rep. Liz Cheney on a three-state swing through key suburban counties in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. The events will be moderated by longtime Republican strategist Sarah Longwell and conservative radio host Charlie Sykes. Cheney, who recently endorsed Harris, has been vocal in urging Republicans to support the current vice president. She was removed from her leadership position in the House Republican Conference for speaking out against Trump and voting to impeach him after the January 6th Capitol attack. Longwell, founder of the Republican Accountability Project, and Sykes, a former conservative radio host turned critic of Trump, will add their perspectives to the conversation. Cheney and Sykes are both supporters of Harris, believing that opposition to Trump is not enough and accountability for the events of January 6th is necessary. The events are being billed as conversations, with the goal of encouraging Republican voters to “meet the moment” and consider voting for Harris in the upcoming election.
