Court filing alleges that Matt Gaetz was present at a sex party in Lake Mary with an underage girl

Lawyers for Joel Greenberg, a former Seminole County Tax Collector, recently detailed allegations about a 2017 sex party in Florida that U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz attended. Greenberg pleaded guilty to federal charges, including sex trafficking a minor, which led to a federal investigation of Gaetz. While Gaetz was not charged criminally, the House Ethics Committee expanded its investigation into the allegations.
New information from Greenberg’s attorney includes claims from a woman, identified as A.B., who said she attended a party with Gaetz while she was still a minor. The party allegedly involved alcohol, cocaine, middle-aged men, and young women. Greenberg’s attorney also stated that Greenberg regularly recruited young women for sex in exchange for compensation.
Despite a judge’s order questioning the relevancy of these accusations in a court filing seeking legal fees, the information from A.B. and other evidence surrounding Gaetz has now been made public. Gaetz’s office has not commented on the allegations, while the plaintiffs in the defamation case brought against Greenberg questioned his credibility, citing past incidents of lying and fabricating accusations against political opponents.
Another separate case filed in circuit court alleges that Greenberg continues to fabricate accusations against former political associates, including A.B. Portions of the filings involving Gaetz have not been redacted from the publicly available brief. Andrade, the attorney handling the case, argues that Greenberg’s legal team is trying to force new accusations into the public eye, despite the federal case being closed.
