Residents in Ukraine witnessed a Russian missile strike in Dnipro, as Russia’s defence ministry claimed the capture of Novodmytrivka. President Putin vowed to use experimental missiles again, angering Ukraine, while the US expects North Korean troops massing in Russia to soon enter combat against Ukraine. President-elect Trump is considering Richard Grenell as a special envoy for the conflict. Russia included occupied Ukraine territories in its greenhouse gas report, drawing protests at the Cop29 climate summit. Ukraine has lost 40% of the Kursk region it seized in August, as Russian forces counter-attack.
