Campaign Claims Donald Trump’s Cabinet Picks and Administration Facing ‘Violent’ Threats

Several picks for President-elect Donald Trump’s administration, including some of his Cabinet picks, were targeted by “violent” threats on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, according to Trump’s transition team. The threats included bomb threats and swatting, a practice in which a person falsely reports a dangerous situation to prompt a SWAT response. The transition team did not provide specifics on who was targeted or the exact nature of the threats.

U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik, Trump’s pick for UN Ambassador, confirmed that she was among those threatened. She, her husband, and their three-year-old son were driving home when they were informed of a bomb threat to their residence. Law enforcement agencies promptly responded to ensure their safety.

The FBI stated that they are aware of the threats and are working with other law enforcement agencies to address the situation. The Trump transition team emphasized that they are focused on uniting the nation and that acts of intimidation and violence will not deter them.

The incidents are currently under investigation, and updates will be provided as the story develops. Law enforcement officials are urging the public to report any suspicious activity to ensure everyone’s safety.
