Despite the ceasefire being in place, Sir Richard believes that in the long term, pushing Hezbollah back beyond the Litani River may not fully address the security concerns of Israel. He suggested that the current ceasefire benefits Israel in making its northern border safe for the time being, but may not be a long-term solution.
