Hyatt to Introduce Andaz Brand in Florida as Part of Luxury Lifestyle Expansion


Hyatt Hotels Corporation is set to introduce its luxury lifestyle Andaz brand to Florida with the opening of Andaz Miami Beach in the fourth quarter of 2024. The property, previously known as The Confidante Miami Beach and owned by Sunstone Hotel Investors, will undergo a full renovation to feature enhanced amenities and public spaces.

The redesigned Andaz Miami Beach will include updated guest rooms, suites, pools, outdoor spaces, and a spa. Culinary offerings will be revamped in partnership with José Andrés Group, and the property will offer 25,000 square feet of event space with ocean views. This launch marks the first Andaz hotel in Florida and signifies Hyatt’s strategic expansion in the luxury and lifestyle sector.

Hyatt’s broader efforts in the luxury lifestyle segment include the recent addition of 30 hotels and resorts to its pipeline, with the opening of Thompson Houston earlier this year. The move comes in response to a growing demand for luxury travel globally, particularly in destinations like Miami.

The expansion of luxury hotels in Miami reflects the city’s status as a top leisure market and its appeal to travelers seeking high-end accommodations. With the introduction of Andaz Miami Beach, Hyatt aims to capitalize on this trend and set a new standard for luxury hospitality in the region.
