Severe snowstorm expected to hit Midwest and Northeastern regions

A winter storm is expected to bring snow to parts of the Midwest and Northeast on Thanksgiving Day, potentially disrupting travel plans. The storm will also bring frigid air and heavy snowfall to areas in the upper Midwest and Northeast, such as Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Buffalo. Some areas may see dangerously cold wind chills. The snowy conditions could lead to delays and hazardous driving conditions on major highways, with blizzard-like conditions causing poor visibility. However, the snow is good news for skiers, as ski resorts in western New York are expected to receive a significant amount of snow. Around 196 million people are expected to experience below freezing temperatures on Thanksgiving, with wind chills in some areas dropping below zero. Parts of New York experienced heavy rainfall, while parts of the Southeast are at risk for severe thunderstorms. Overall, the cold temperatures and snowfall are expected to persist into the following week, affecting a large portion of the country.
