Gail Packard, a retired Eastern Airlines employee and active member of the Mandarin Women’s Club, has had a fascinating life journey. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Packard moved to Florida at the age of 22 after purchasing land in Cape Coral. She later worked for Eastern Airlines for 23 years, surviving Hurricane Andrew while raising her two children. After the airline shut down, she earned her associate’s degree at age 48 and worked in finance until retirement. Since moving to Mandarin in 2008, she has been involved in various organizations and activities, including the Mandarin Women’s Club where she serves as the Publicity Chair. With a love for travel, shooting at the gun range, and playing cards, Packard continues to enjoy life to the fullest. The Mandarin Women’s Club, of which Packard is a part, boasts 208 members and offers a range of activities for women of all ages. This group provides a sense of camaraderie and friendship through monthly meetings and events. Packard’s story serves as an inspiration for women looking to stay active and engaged in their community.
