Five standout high school basketball players in South Florida were recently highlighted as part of the Fab Five, showcasing their skills and accomplishments on the court.
Shon Abaev, a senior from Calvary Christian Academy, has been a star player since his freshman year, averaging impressive stats and recently hitting a game-winning shot. He is being recruited by top schools including Kansas and Oregon.
Matthew Able, a senior from Sagemont Prep, transferred and quickly made an impact, earning a spot on the University of Miami team. His stellar play on both ends of the court has led to numerous accomplishments, including hitting a crucial game-winner in a regional final.
Alexander Constanza, a junior from Westminster Academy, has already reached the 1,000-point milestone in his high school career and is receiving attention from college scouts. His all-around game and experience playing against elite competition set him apart on the court.
Senior Alex Lloyd, also from Westminster Academy, has committed to the University of Florida and has been a standout player throughout his high school career. With impressive scoring numbers and a record-setting free-throw performance, he is a force to be reckoned with on the court.
Finally, DJ Sandi, a junior from St. Thomas Aquinas, has been a key player for his team for three years, contributing in scoring, rebounding, and steals. His standout games include victories over top teams and he has already received multiple scholarship offers.
These standout players are just a few of the talented athletes making waves in the South Florida high school basketball scene, with bright futures ahead of them in the sport.
