Miami Gardens – River Cracraft, wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, will pay tribute to his late quarterback, Tyler Hilinski, during Sunday’s game against the New York Jets. Cracraft will wear cleats that support “Hilinski’s Hope,” a charity focused on suicide prevention and awareness, as part of the NFL’s “My Cause My Cleats” campaign.
Cracraft recalls a special moment he shared with Hilinski during their time at Washington State, solidifying their connection. The Dolphins as a whole will participate in the initiative, with over 30 players and eight coaches donning cleats representing various causes or charities.
Center Aaron Brewer will showcase “For Oak Cliff,” which provides opportunities for inner-city children, while cornerbacks coach Mathieu Araujo will bring attention to breast cancer research and awareness, a cause close to his heart. Wide receiver Dee Eskridge will support “Everytown for Gun Safety,” and long snapper Blake Ferguson will recognize “CreatiVets,” which aids wounded veterans through art and music therapy.
The Dolphins team as a whole is dedicated to supporting a broad range of causes, including animal shelters, autism awareness, child abuse prevention, and Lupus research. By participating in the “My Cause My Cleats” campaign, the players and staff hope to raise awareness and promote positive change in various communities.
Cracraft has continued to honor Hilinski’s memory throughout his NFL career, with the proceeds from his cleats going to support his late quarterback’s family. The support from the Washington State community and beyond has been evident, demonstrating the impact of honoring loved ones through charitable actions. Through these efforts, the Dolphins aim to inspire others to support causes that are important to them and create a better future for all.
