Miami Dolphins cornerback Kendall Fuller remains in concussion protocol ahead of Sunday’s game against the New York Jets. Coach Mike McDaniel indicated that Fuller is in the final stage of protocol and could be cleared to play after Friday’s practice. Fuller had his first full practice participation on Thursday, a positive sign for his potential return.
McDaniel is also hopeful that cornerback Kader Kohou and linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. will be available for Sunday’s game. Kohou injured his back in the last game, while Walker missed the previous game due to a hamstring injury. The coach is also optimistic about the availability of starting tackles Terron Armstead and Kendall Lamm, who have been dealing with injuries.
On the other hand, McDaniel does not expect outside linebackers Bradley Chubb, Cameron Goode, or long snapper Blake Ferguson to be activated for the game. All three players have been designated for return this week but are not expected to play. Chubb and Goode have been rehabilitating knee injuries from last season, while Ferguson has been on the non-football illness list for the past seven games.
The Dolphins have practice squad long snapper Zach Triner available for elevation if Ferguson is unable to play. Updates on player availability will continue to be provided as the game approaches.
