Perk and Furones’ prop bet predictions for Dolphins vs. Jets

Miami Gardens – The South Florida Sun Sentinel’s Miami Dolphins writers have introduced a new feature for the 2024 season – weekly prop bet picks. Columnist Chris Perkins and reporter David Furones will each choose two prop bets for every Dolphins game, one “Best Bet” with near 50-50 odds and one “Longshot” with higher odds.

This week, Perkins’ best bet is Jonnu Smith surpassing 48.5 receiving yards, as Smith has been a consistent performer for the Dolphins. Furones, on the other hand, predicts Braelon Allen will fall short of 52.5 rushing yards due to the tough Dolphins defense.

In terms of longshots, Perkins is banking on River Cracraft scoring a touchdown at odds of +2250, while Furones is looking at Jaylen Waddle catching 6 or more passes at +325, especially with star cornerback Sauce Gardner doubtful for the Jets.

While both writers have been successful with their best bets recently, their longshots have been more challenging. Furones has a record of 3-9, while Perkins is at 2-10. Despite the tough odds, the writers are excited to continue making their prop bet predictions for the rest of the season.

For more insights and predictions on the upcoming Dolphins game, be sure to check out the Sun Sentinel’s game predictions for Thursday night. And remember, while they may be picking prop bets, neither Perkins nor Furones condone gambling.
