President-elect Donald Trump has announced that Alina Habba, a member of his legal team, will serve as counselor to the president in his upcoming second term. Habba has represented Trump in several high-profile lawsuits in 2021 and also served as a spokesperson for him. She is a managing partner at a law firm based in New Jersey, where Trump’s golf club is located. Trump praised Habba’s dedication to justice and loyalty to him in a post on Truth Social. Habba has an undergraduate degree from Lehigh University and a law degree from Widener University Commonwealth Law School. She delivered a speech at the Republican National Convention earlier this year and has been named Chaldean Woman of the Year. Habba, who is of Middle Eastern heritage, has become a role model for women in law and politics. Trump described her as a tireless advocate for justice and a fierce defender of the rule of law.
