Norwegian browser company Opera is offering the chance for ten lucky testers to try out a ‘hygge desk’ in stunning locations in Norway. Embracing the concept of ‘hygge,’ a Danish and Norwegian term for coziness and contentment, Opera aims to promote a simple and unassuming lifestyle that helps users focus on what matters most.
The hygge desk offers a cosy workspace adorned with furs and carefully selected facilities to eliminate distractions and enhance the joy of everyday browsing. Testers will have the opportunity to stay in a private cabin for six days, with flights and ground transportation included, while experiencing the best of the local area.
To apply to become a hygge tester, interested individuals can submit creative applications on the Opera website explaining why they need a hygge desk. Applications are open until the end of February, with winners announced in early March.
During the testing period from mid-March to early April, the hygge desks will be located in stunning locations such as Lysefjord, Lofoten, Norefjell, Bodø, and Ålesund. The promotion aims to show how the Opera browser, known for its private and peaceful browsing experience, aligns perfectly with the principles of hygge.
While a week at a hygge desk may not change one’s life, it offers a good start in embracing the simplicity and coziness that Scandinavians value. Joining the hygge testers could provide a unique opportunity to experience a stress-free and productive workspace in beautiful surroundings in Norway.
