18-year-old Kadance Fredericksen, a pageant contestant from Florida, tragically died in a car crash on Monday, Feb. 17. Described by her mother as the “most kindhearted” person who only wanted happiness for everyone, Kadance had big plans for the future, including becoming a veterinarian. She was involved in charity work, founding her own organization called Kada’s Promise, which donated teddy bears and blankets to children in need. Kadance had also volunteered with the Ronald McDonald House and raised over $25,000 for the charity. Despite experiencing childhood abuse and having difficulty speaking in front of people, Kadance found her passion in beauty pageants and giving back to her community. She was remembered by her pageant community as ambitious, driven, kind, and a true leader. Just a day before the crash, Kadance was awarded a full-ride scholarship to Mississippi State University. Her family hopes to continue her legacy through Kada’s Promise and are asking for donations to support the charity. Through her generosity and spirit, Kadance touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.
