Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office arrested suspect Tykwon Deandre Anderson in connection to the theft of luxury cars belonging to Hurricanes star quarterback Carson Beck and basketball player Hanna Cavinder. Anderson was charged with multiple felonies including burglary of an occupied dwelling, grand theft, and grand theft of a vehicle. Beck’s two cars, a Mercedes Benz and a Lamborghini, were stolen along with Cavinder’s Range Rover. Beck’s Mercedes was recovered, but the Lamborghini is still missing. Anderson and three other suspects allegedly stole the cars by breaking into the Range Rover and using the garage opener to access the key fobs. The Range Rover was left abandoned on a street. Anderson confessed to the burglary and police are still investigating the case. Beck and Cavinder, who are in a relationship, had their vehicles stolen early Thursday morning. Police are working on recovering the missing Lamborghini and investigating the involvement of the other suspects mentioned in the report. The community is relieved that one of the stolen cars has been found and are hopeful for the successful retrieval of the other missing vehicles.
