The Florida Tortugas celebrated Hispanic Heritage Night with a 3-1 victory over the South Carolina Stingrays. A sell-out crowd at Hertz Arena witnessed the Tortugas break a three-game losing streak, with goals from Colin Theisen and Logan Lambdin. Cam Johnson also had a standout performance in goal, stopping 26 of 27 shots. The win marked Johnson’s ECHL-leading 28th victory of the season.
The Everblades will now head north for a three-game series against the Norfolk Admirals, with seven of their next nine games played away from Hertz Arena. The team’s next home games will be against the Savannah Ghost Pirates on March 12 and 14.
Colin Theisen scored his 18th goal of the season in the victory, while Logan Lambdin ended an eight-game goal drought with his 14th goal of the year. Alex Kile extended his point streak to three games with an empty-net goal.
