Three teenagers were arrested in Hillsborough County, Florida after allegedly breaking into vehicles and stealing from them. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of three individuals opening car doors in a Ruskin neighborhood at 3:16 a.m. on Monday. The HCSO used their K-9 units and aviation unit to set up a perimeter around the neighborhood and track the suspects. Sheriff Chad Chronister praised the Aviation and K9 Sections for their role in apprehending the individuals quickly.
Deputies witnessed the teenagers throwing stolen items into a wooded area before fleeing into a home. The HCSO did not release the identities of the teenagers but stated that they are facing charges related to the break-ins and thefts. Residents are encouraged to lock their car doors and remove valuables to prevent similar incidents in the future.
