Darius Johnson leads UCF to victory against Oklahoma State

In a thrilling senior night matchup, UCF guard Darius Johnson had a career night, scoring 36 points to lead the Knights to an 83-70 victory over Oklahoma State. Johnson was honored alongside seniors Benny Williams and Dallan “Deebo” Coleman in a pregame ceremony at Addition Financial Arena. Keyshawn Hall contributed 18 points and 8 rebounds to help secure UCF’s 13th home win of the season, the most since 2021-22.

Despite a slow start, UCF rallied behind its defense to take control of the game, going on a 13-2 run in the first half to regain the lead. Center Moustapha Thiam’s contributions were pivotal in sparking the Knights’ offense. Although Oklahoma State led at halftime, UCF battled back in the second half with an 8-0 run and ultimately outscored the Cowboys 26-10 late in the game to secure the win.

Thiam also made history by setting a new freshman record for blocks with 73, surpassing former UCF standout Tacko Fall. The Knights were missing guards Jordan Ivy-Curry and Mikey Williams due to undisclosed injuries, but their absence didn’t derail the team’s solid performance.

With this victory, UCF improves to a 16-14 record and will wrap up the regular season on the road against West Virginia. The Knights’ resilience and Johnson’s standout performance made for an unforgettable senior night celebration.
