The beloved River O’Green festival in Tampa makes a grand comeback with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and exciting entertainment.

Tampa’s annual River O’Green festival is set to return on March 15, 2025, with a new addition called the “Leprechaun’s Hideout” for attendees looking to escape the sun and enjoy Irish brews. The event, organized by the Tampa Downtown Partnership, promises to be the biggest yet this year.

The highlight of the festival will be the traditional coloring of the Hillsborough River with non-toxic, biodegradable dye. Live entertainment, including musicians, Irish dancers, and spoken word performances, will be featured at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Additionally, a pet costume contest will be held at the Barrymore Hotel at the Tampa Riverwalk.

The Tampa Rough Riders will also host their St. Patrick’s Day Parade through downtown Tampa at 3 p.m., featuring floats, music, and beads. Road closures will be in effect during the event, with parking available at various locations and a free bike valet service provided.

Entertainment at the festival will include live music from the Irish Buskers, Paddy O’Furniture, and George Pennington & The Odyssey on the Main Stage, as well as performances from the Finnegan Irish Dance Academy and poetry readings from GrowHouse Tampa on the Terrace Stage. The event is sponsored by Grow Financial, with support from various local organizations.

Attendees are encouraged to plan ahead for crowds and road closures to enjoy a day of Irish festivities in downtown Tampa.
