Wilson Jones, a 30-year-old former Corinth Middle School teacher, has been indicted for allegedly using artificial intelligence (AI) to create pornographic videos of teenage students engaging in sexual behavior. The Corinth School District discovered inappropriate activity on Jones’s computer through their internet filtering system, prompting an investigation that led to his resignation in November 2024.
Jones is facing charges of producing and possessing a morphed image of child pornography based on evidence provided by the FBI and Corinth Police Department after receiving a report from the Mississippi Department of Education. The investigation revealed that Jones had used an AI tool to create videos of students between the ages of 14 and 16 engaging in inappropriate behavior such as kissing and exposing themselves.
While Jones admitted to creating the AI videos, he claimed they were not sexual in nature and that the images he used came from social media. However, further analysis of his keystrokes during the time of the investigation indicated explicit prompts typed into the AI system. The FBI identified eight teenage victims from the Corinth School District in the videos, leading to Jones’s indictment.
Parents in the community expressed shock and concern over the situation, emphasizing the importance of being aware of what is happening in schools to protect children. Jones posted a $20,000 bond and was released from custody, with a scheduled court appearance on Friday.
