Former Lee County GOP Chair Michael Thompson Challenges Rep. Tiffany Esposito in Primary
Michael Thompson, the former chair of the Lee County Republican Party, has officially entered the race to challenge incumbent Rep. Tiffany Esposito in the Republican primary for House District 77. Thompson announced his candidacy on social media, emphasizing the need for local representation.
“It’s time for residents of East Lee County to be represented by someone who actually lives in East Lee County,” Thompson stated, criticizing what he perceives as a disconnect between the community and political insiders. He previously served as chair during a significant period of change within the party, aligning with the America First movement.
