Congresswoman Proposes Censure Resolution for Cory Mills Following a String of Scandals
New York Congresswoman Moves to Censure Rep. Cory Mills Amid Scandals
In a significant political move, U.S. Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-NY) has introduced a resolution to censure fellow Congressman Cory Mills (R-FL) over serious ethical allegations. During a recent floor speech, Clarke outlined multiple accusations against Mills, which include claims of domestic violence, unethical financial dealings during his Congressional tenure, and potential misconduct related to a Bronze Star award.
Clarke’s resolution primarily highlights troubling allegations from two women associated with Mills. One of these women, Sarah Raviani, accused him of assault, claiming he physically threatened her during their relationship. Although she later did not pursue charges, the Metropolitan Police previously noted bruises on her body. Clarke stated that police recommended Mills’ arrest, but the U.S. Attorney’s Office ultimately chose not to press charges.
Additionally, Lindsey Langston, another woman Mills dated, revealed that he threatened to release private images of her and harm prospective partners after their breakup. Clarke emphasized that both women were not Mills’ wife, despite him claiming to be separated and undergoing divorce proceedings.
Beyond personal scandals, Clarke referenced ongoing investigations into Mills’ financial disclosures and accusations that he may have improperly benefited from military contracts while in office. Former Army colleagues also have disputed the legitimacy of his 2021 Bronze Star, claiming he did not earn it as alleged.
Clarke urged the House to take action, describing Mills’ conduct as detrimental to the integrity of the institution. Mills has reportedly dismissed these allegations as politically motivated, framing the censure as a partisan attack as he faces challenges in the upcoming 2026 election cycle.
